Anthony Lawrence Afflick, known as Tony to his friends and family, and Coach to his players, was born August 18, 1961. Tony grew up in Harlem, New York where he attended St. Aloysius Catholic School. Soon after, he attended Rice High School also located in Harlem.
Tony loves sports, especially basketball and football. He also loves to laugh and have a good time. This is evident in almost every job that Tony has held. Whether it was as a youth counselor or working on computers in a large Wall Street Firm, Tony's major strength is his ability to help and teach others. Children seem to especially benefit from his assistance and guidance.
In 1995, Tony took his love of basketball and his passion for teaching and joined longtime friend, Jude Baptiste at a local community center in coaching kids. Tony starting volunteering his services as an assistant coach for a Saturday youth program.
Tony Afflick has several years of community service experience. He has assisted local neighborhood groups with several events such as "Picnic in the Park", which provides FREE food for the local community. Tony Afflick also has over 20 years of coaching experience. Tony has been honored by the Catholic Youth Organization with "CYO VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD" for his community service.
Although volunteer work is quite gratifying, dreams of controlling one's own destiny still exist. Tony, along with several other dedicated people, decided to take their destinies into their own hands. Thus, the dream of Gladiator Sports Inc. was born. Tony Afflick now serves as Executive Director of Gladiator Sports, Inc.
