Kevin was born and raised in Harlem, N.Y. and is also a product of the NYC public school system (PS 76M, Wadleigh JHS Annex, Park West HS). After graduating from High School, Kevin went upstate to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where he received his Bachelor degree in Engineering. During his time upstate he played three years for RPI as a Small forward and power forward. He also coached at RPI as a graduate assist, after finishing two years as an assistant varsity coach at Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady, New York.
